GlobalReview-Jakarta – The Indonesia Spices Business Forum and Expo (ISBFE) 2024 is scheduled to take place from August 8-11, 2024, at Lapangan Pamedan Mangkunegara, Solo, Central Java.
This will be the second ISBFE event held in Indonesia, following the first one on December 10-12, 2021, at Hotel Niagara, Parapat, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province, which was inaugurated by Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin.
ISBFE serves as a momentum to revive the glory of Indonesia’s spice trade from the past, aiming to replicate that success for a prosperous future. The Indonesian Spices Business Forum and Expo 2024 is a premier business meeting and the largest spice exhibition in Indonesia, reminding us of the crucial role spices played in the establishment of the Republic of Indonesia.
The event is organized by the Communication Forum of the Plantation Commodity Council and is supported by the Surakarta City Government (Solo), the Central Java Provincial Government, and the Central Government. The event is expected to be attended by the President or Vice President of Indonesia.
ISBFE 2024 will bring together all stakeholders in the spice industry across Indonesia, with international participation invited, particularly from spice businesses and processors in key export markets for Indonesian spices, such as Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, India, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, the USA, the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Belgium, and many more.
The ISBFE 2024 event is a manifestation of the mandate given by Mr. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, in 2017, urging all stakeholders in the Indonesian spice industry to work together to restore the country’s spice glory.
The ISBFE 2024 agenda includes International & National Seminars on spices, a Business Forum Clinic Export, the Nusantara Coffee Festival, a short film production competition titled “Rempah Nusantara,” performances by the 2021 Spice Ambassadors, and various activities aimed at advancing the spice industry in Indonesia.
As stated by Ika Harini, the organizer of ISBFE 2024, in Jakarta on Tuesday (July 23), one of the highlights of ISBFE 2024 at Lapangan Pamedan Mangkunegara Solo will be an exhibition featuring all related elements in the Indonesian and International spice industries. This includes participation from relevant ministries and agencies, representatives from regional governments across Indonesia, relevant departments, related associations and organizations, producers of original spices and seasonings, processed spices from factories and MSMEs, ready-to-use cooking spices, the National herbal medicine industry, the cosmetic industry, the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the Indonesian Exporters Association, Bulog, BPOM, foreign embassies, and many more. *
